The Coalition for Social Justice held its annual summer fundraiser and had special guests Piper Kerman, author of “Orange is the New Black” and Cassandra Bensighn, ex-prisoner and Mass. criminal justice reform activist.
The conversation centered around the experience of women in the criminal justice system specifically conditions in jail and the struggles around reintegration in society after their served time.
